ARVets seeks an Outreach VISTA.

ARVets seeks an Outreach VISTA.

Join the ARVets team and work for one to three years as an Americorps VISTA. You can serve the veteran community by leading certain ARVets outreach initiatives!

Volunteers In Service To America, or VISTA, is a national service program where people get engaged in community service and commit to work on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency.

The ARVets Outreach VISTA will be responsible for creating a community partnership program that will recruit, train, and engage community volunteers to support the organization’s outreach and human service programs.

The VISTA will also help determine strategies for cultivating and stewarding volunteers and donors in a model that continually asks for feedback, which can be immediately used to improve recruitment.

As these programs grow in capacity and are taken on by development staff long-term, the VISTA role will transition from one of conceptualizing to supporting ARVets staff in program management.
